a lifetime to grow

It is a great pleasure to work with adults who are seeking positive change in their lives -- whether it be in their relationships, mental or emotional health or personal growth.

My work with adults is insight and talk orientated. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational, Solution-focused and Narrative strategies.

At times, you and I may decide to include important others in session, such as partners, family members or friends. Our work will be a creative collaboration driven by your goals and needs.

Choosing a Therapist

"Goodness of fit"  is critical to a positive counseling experience.

Solicit recommendations from trusted friends and family who know you well.
Take your time contacting therapists and arranging to speak with them either by phone or in person.
Ask about their speciality areas, experience working with concerns similar to yours, their fees and policies.  They should be able to provide you with written materials outlining their training, experience, philosophy and policies.
Be honest with your future therapist about what works for you in session and what doesn’t. You know yourself, your life and your needs best.

A therapist who is a good fit for you -- will honor your individuality and your innate strengths.
